Matrix Cubes are items that you can create using the color matrix shards you receive from certain Datacrons. For Republic players you will need to head to the Lost Assembly Vault inside the Jedi Temple ruins on Coruscant to craft your Matrix Cubes. Inside you will find the Datacron Matrix Assembler which you can use to create your Matrix Cubes.
A variety of Matrix Cubes can be created depending on what type of color shards you put in the assembler. Additionally, being a force user or a tech user will give you different options / results as well.

Creating Matrix Cubes
Every character has two relic item slots where Matrix Cubes can be equipped. Essentially Matrix Cubes, when equipped, give your character a very nice stat buff to multiple stats. Some Matrix Cubes will even add additional bonuses on top of the stat buffs like +crit, +power etc.
Currently there is a glitch where you can only have one Matrix Cube on you at a time. So, if you are crafting Matrix Cubes you will need to create them one at a time, dropping off each completed Matrix Cube in your bank and returning to the Lost Assembly Vault to craft another. This process is repeatable 4 times. So, you can store up to four Matrix Cubes and you can have two equipped on your character at one time. (It’s possible this is a bug, we have been unable to confirm this in the latest build – but we assume it’s working the same way).

Depending on which types of color shards you load into the assembler will affect the type of Matrix Cube that you get out of the creation process.
Assembling Matrix Cubes
To make a Matrix Cube you need to have at least three color shards in your possession. There are several different tiers of Matrix Cubes you can create. Each tier contains several different Matrix Cubes with varying stat buffs etc. We have scoured the web to give you the most up-to-date listing of what we know works right now.

Disassembling Matrix Cubes
After a Matrix Cube is assembled it can also be disassembled using the Matrix Cube Disassembler inside the Lost Vault Assembly Vault. There is a catch here…in order to power the Matrix Cube Disassembler you must have a Reconstructed Disassembler Core. The Reconstructed Disassembler Core can be purchased from a vendor on Tatooine in Anchorhead. It has a little bit of a hefty price tag at 8,000 credits, so don’t expect to be disassembling Matrix Cubes if you are relatively low level.

Crew Skill Bonuses
The Matrix Cube Assembly process can also be enhanced with the use of crew skills. If you have the Archaeology Crew Skill you can find Matrix Prisms, Matrix Emitters, and Matrix Amplifiers that can be used to enhance the Matrix Cube during the assembly process. We do not have any solid details on this process at this time, but we do know it can be done. We will update this portion as we get new intel on the subject.
