Before World of Warcraft became the premier game there was always one before it that every game drew inspiration and direction from. If World of Warcraft was your first MMO experience then you might be interested to know that it borrowed heavily from Everquest. Beginning in the late 90s Sony Online Entertainment had the premier MMORPG’s, releasing games such as Everquest, Everquest 2, and Star Wars Galaxies, and more recently Vanguard and D.C. Universe Online.
