Datacron Locations & How To Get Them (With Video)
Datacrons are small cube like items hidden in very unusual and hard to reach places throughout the planets in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Each time you interact with a Datacron several things will happen. You will earn a new codex entry that gives you a piece of the Galactic History, as well as earning a permanent stat buff to your character. Additionally, certain Datacrons will give you a colored Matrix Shard (in lieu of a stat buff) that you can use to build a Matrix Cube which can be equipped in one of your three relic slots.
You can view a full list of Datacron locations and details here. Or you can select which planet you would like to find Datacron information for:
Ord Mantell | Tython | Alderaan | Balmorra | Belsavis | Corellia | Coruscant | Hoth | Ilum | Nar Shaddaa | Quesh | Republic Fleet | Taris | Tatooine | Voss
Matrix Cubes (Relic Items)
Matrix Cubes are items that you can create using the color matrix shards you receive from certain Datacrons. For Republic players you will need to head to the Lost Assembly Vault inside the Jedi Temple ruins on Coruscant to craft your Matrix Cubes. Inside you will find the Datacron Matrix Assembler which you can use to create your Matrix Cubes.
You can view a full list of Matrix Cube recipes, assembling & disassembling information and other details here.
